When I saw the cast of 360 I was intrigued. It stars Jude Law, Rachel
Weisz, Ben Foster, and Anthony Hopkins. It also has an interesting title, 360, the number of degrees in a circle.
360 is all about circles--the circle of life; circles of deceit; the circles in which people move; the circular nature of actions and consequence… all conveyed by way of a circular narrative.
360 connects most of its characters through sexual interactions, whether it's illegal prostitution or adulterous affairs, but what is interesting is how the characters respond to any of the given situations. It's a film that deals in this world of sin, and the characters react in many different ways.
360 begins when the sisters Anna (Gabriela Marcinkova) and Mirka (Lucia Siposová) travel from the Bratislava to Vienna to meet up with photographer and pimp Rocco (Johannes Krisch). On the next day, she goes to a restaurant to meet the married British businessman Michael Daly (Jude Law) but he meets with acquaintances and does not contact Blanca. Soon he is blackmailed by the guy that forces Michael to close a business with him.
The movie then moves to Paris where a Muslim follows a married woman and then he goes to his psychoanalyst and tells that he is infatuated. Later the woman, named Valentina (Dinara Drukarova) tells to her husband Sergei (Vladimir Vdovichenkov) that she wants to divorce him since she loves her boss.
This is just 45 degrees of the circle. Throughout, one character leads to another. This makes it a very interesting movie, but not a great one. I rank it about average for such a good cast. I recommend this movie if you are looking for something different.
