Basement Jaxx vs. Metropole Orkest--Hey U

This one is hard to describe but is a good video. It has exotic animated animals playing the song Hey U from the group Basement Jaxx. That's what I think it is. Check it out.

A very clever black and white video that shows a house, but uses audio to project the memories of the people who once lived in that house. This is a creative video.

SF to Paris in Two Minutes

I enjoyed this short video where pictures were take every few minutes during the 11-hour trip from San Francisco to Paris. I especially liked the segment that brilliantly shows the aurora borealis.

The Last Survivor Trailer

"The Last Survivor is a character-based, feature-length documentary that explores the idea of genocide in the 21st century. Following the lives of survivors of four different genocides and mass atrocities - The Holocaust, Rwanda, Darfur, and Congo - the film presents the stories of Survivors and their struggle to make sense of the tragedy by working to educate, motivate and promulgate a civic response to mass atrocity crimes. Lynx is a beautiful video shot with a conventional camera, Canon 5D Mark II. The sharpness of video is unprecedented. It also shows you how our domestic cats are not far removed from their wild cousins.

When Two Worlds Collide

This is a trailer for a film on an indigenous Amazonian leader who is trying to save his world. Unfortunately, this is a story for our entire planet not just the Amazon basin.

With the Rainforest facing peril, this apocalyptic story presents two colliding visions that shape the climate future of our world."

Richard Dawkins: Show Me the Intermediate Fossils

I have selected this video from Richard Dawkings video productions, one of my heroes, to help fight the ignorance of most nonscientists who think that beliefs have anything to do with the nature of science and our world. This one is specifically is for idiots like Rick Perry who use their ignorance to perpetuate their fairytails and myths.

PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death, and God

In this video many young people are approached on the street and asked to reveal a secret. It is entertaining hearing and seeing their answers. This is one in a series where the same thing is done in different cities.

 Miehina the Kyoto Geisha

I so clearly remember, years ago, Yumie and I walking through Gion, the geisha district of Kyoto. It is not uncommon to see geisha walking in full kimono through this part of the city.
